To address the growing problem of rape and sexual assault especially among the school and college students and train girls with an effective self defense techniques to protect them from rape and sexual assault ,a training workshop was arranged in Maryvale High School, Kinnigoli. Mr. Kathik S Kateel- Founder- SWARAKSHA for women trust ® and his Mother Mrs. Shobhalatha were the resource persons of the day. The staff and students of Maryvale Primary and High School attended the training programme , which enlightened the minds of students to be alert and watchful in times of risks and danger.
We are proud to have Mr. Karthik S Kateel Alumni of Maryvale as the resource person. It was a privilege to felicitate and recognize him for the tremendous work rendered to the society in the field of women empowerment. Mrs. Precilla - Asst. Teacher welcomed and introduced the dignitaries. Mrs. Vinodha proposed the vote thanks. Sr. Nisha - Headmistress , Maryvale Primary and Sr. Shanthi – Headmistress Maryvale High School were present on this occasion. Indeed it was a wonderful workshop.

Leaders create an inspiring vision and create something new.Inspiring the young minds to be efficient leaders and to give them an experience of being enthusiastic administrators, the Maryvale High School Kinnigoli held the Oath taking ceremony for the academic year 2021-22.
The programme commenced with a fervent plea to the Almighty God to bless the future visionaries with honesty, commitment and zeal to render their services for the well being of the school.
The newly elected cabinet members were conferred with sashes. Sr. Shanthi Agnes the Headmistress, administered the oath and wished them well in all their academic activities. Miss. Lenica Dsouza, the SPL briefed about the responsibilities of the cabinets along with the ASPL Master Dominic Dsouza, speaker Master Ruben Dsouza, Secretary Miss Riana Dsouza and all other cabinet members. They pledged to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities and to uphold the values of the school with utmost sincerity and dedication.Master Rivian compered the programme under the leadership of Mrs. Pramila Dmello the cabinet incharge teacher. Miss Swasthi proposed the vote of thanks.
We concluded the Oath taking ceremony by saluting our Alma Mater with the School anthem.
The much awaited Annual Sports Day of Maryvale School., Kinnigoli was held on 23rd November 2019 in Pompei College ground. Fr. Mathew Vas presided over the function with Sr. Lydia Shanthi BS as the Chief Guest. The SPL Shannel, Asst. SPL Ashwija, Sports leader and Asst. Nelisha Lobo, Sharwin Pais, Four Houses – Sakshi, Deola, Riyana and Ozwyn receive Salute from President Fr. Mathew Vas. The march past was So impressive that it was a feast to the eyes.
The guests were generous with their thunderous claps as the students competed in the track events, discuss etc.
The person behind this great success is none other than Sr. Agnes Shanthi BS and Sr. Nisha BS, the Headmistresses of Maryvale Educational
Institution.
The winners were awarded with medals and certificates.

There was something unique in the atmosphere on December 18th 2019. The splendid Annual Day celebration of Maryvale High School, Kinnigoli.
The school was filled with a vibrant festive celebration. The school band led by stick major Akash Poojary gave a stupendous guard of honour to the Dignitories.

With the cultural attire and melodius song, the students invoked God’s blessings upon the gathering. Sr. Shanthi B.S -the Headmistress welcomed the guests and the gathering.
We honoured Miss. Olvita Dsouza – the old students for securing 1st Rank in state level PUC Board Examination in Commerce., Miss Crysline Sonia Dsouza from Class IX for securing 1stplace in Dance 2 Dance Junior.
Dr. Sr. Mariola B S was honoured for the completion of her Ph.D on the Topic ‘A study on the implementation of food security schemes among the slum dwellers of Mangalore City.
The guests of the day adviced the students to achieve the highest success and to be excellent.
Mrs. Mabel Rodrigues,Mrs. Anita Rodrigues the Assistant Teachers, Miss. Shannel Dsouza and Master Nolan Dsouza compered the Programme. Mrs. Nishmitha proposed the vote of thanks.
The students had a breathtaking performance on the seven Core Values of Bethany Educational Society on the theme “Glory to God – Fullness of life”. The programme came to an end with the school Anthem.
A study tips session for the students of Std X along with their parents was arranged by the Rotary club President Mr. Michael Pinto in Maryvale High School Hall.
Mr. Ronald Pinto former Vice Principal of Aloysius College, Mangalore was the resource person. He awakened the students to be vigilant as the days approach for the Board exam by giving few study tips. He also enlightened the gathering about the wide range of career choices and spoke elaborately on the importance of recognizing the interests of their words. He also guided the students towards setting a goal and advised them to remain committed towards it. Students interacted and clarified their doubts about their future course of action.
The students of Class 8 to 10 of Maryvale English Medium High School Kinnigoli celebrated their Annual Day under the title “ A call to change”, “Mother”, and “Soldier” On Friday the 7th of December 2018 at the school ground. Students as well as their parents were looking forward for this joyful day. The day began with the appearance of Little Angels on the dais in different costumes and attire performing dances, skit, singing and thus captivated the audience. The children received thunderous applause from the gathering for their angelic performance.
Rev. Sr. Shubha B.S, Provincial Councillor of Mangalore Province, Mr. Anil Lobo- Chairman, MCC Bank Ltd., Mangalore was the Chief Guest.
During the celebration the students honoured who have excelled in district level and taken part in State Level. Students honoured for the subjectwise Highest scorers of SSLC for the academic year 2017-18 and honoured to the achievers in sports.
Along with the guests of the day Sr. Lydia Shanthi Mendonca B.S- Superior of Maryvale Convent, Dr. Freeda Rodrigues - PTA Vice President, and Sr. Shanthi Agnes B.S – Headmistress of Maryvale High School were present on the dais. Mrs. Anita Pais – welcomed the gathering. Sr. Shanthi briefed about the School Annual Report. Miss. Liza Castelino and Master Floyd Pinto were the Master of Ceremony. Mrs. Stinita proposed the words of gratitude.Students rocked the stage with their excellent performance on the topic.
Salad competition held on 5th November 2018. It was a great event inspiring to see students spending an hour preparing delicious variety of items without the help of fire. Congratulations to all the participants.
